"Family and Friends,
It has been almost 8 weeks since the last update on Paul's stroke recovery. Since May 5th, 2020, Paul has been hospitalized at Tufts Medical Center, Spaulding Rehabilitation, North Shore Medical Center, and for the last 6 months he has been receiving care and therapy at Pilgrim Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Peabody, MA.
Paul has had many ups and downs and several setbacks during his rehab at both Spaulding and Pilgrim. Unfortunately due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Paul had been limited to his room while participating in physical and occupational therapy due to an outbreak at the facility last November. Since then, Paul's rehab has been limited in the amount and type of therapy he had been receiving. Due to these circumstances, and after 288 days - Paul came home on February 16th, where he will receive home care and therapy three to four times a week.
We are extremely happy to have Paul home where he will continue to make progress with physical therapy and speech therapy.
Paul is very humbled and grateful for all the love, support and generosity you have given to him since his Stroke. He loves you all very much and is happy to be home where he will continue his road to recovery.
Please continue to keep Paul in your thoughts and prayers and feel free to reach out to him either through text message or facetime message. Paul has a long road in front of him but he is more determined and motivated now that he is HOME."
