The Over-30 League along with their partnership with Mylec have teamed up to recognize and award 1-player for their accomplishments to both their team and to the league. The winner is chosen by their peers based on the end of the Spring Season via the “Mylec Player of the Year” voting ballot.
The winner receives equipment and swag courtesy of Mylec President Rick Laperriere and the Mylec Corporation.
The Over-30 League would like to thank Rick and those players who participate in the voting process and we’ll have to wait to see who’s on the 2023-2024 “Mylec Player of the Year” ballot.

Congratulations to Mike Duggan who was voted to be the Over-30 Hockley League “2023-2024 Mylec Player of the Year”
Coming off a monstrous 47-point (31g, 16a) season in only 13-games, Mike’s 31-goal performance makes him only the 4th player in the leagues 32-year history to score 30+ goals. His 6-goal performance during his final game of the regular season is also a league record.
Mike joined the 30-goal club which includes: Joe Shannon (35), Mike Luise (32) along with Doug Sedille (33). To put his accomplishment in perspective those 3-players had their 30-goal seasons back in 1995-1996. Mike is the first player to score 30-goals in the last 28-years and his 2023-2024 season totals are an impressive 79-points.
This is Mike’s second Mylec Player of the Year in a row as his previous win included a season in which he played a key role in the Roadrunners 17-0 perfect season.., which was first in the league’s 31-year history.

Congratulations to Mike Duggan who was voted to be the Over-30 Hockley League “2022-2023 Mylec Player of the Year”
Mike is one of the league’s premier young guns not only in the Over-30 League but also the in dek hockey tournament circuit.
(Duggan) played a key role in the Roadrunners 17-0 perfect season.., which was first in the league’s 31-year history.
He also chased two legends in street hockey (Joe Shannon & Doug Sedille) who are the only two players in the league’s 30-year history to score 30-goals in a single season. Although Mike came up 2-goals shy of 30.., it was a thrilling run for historians of the Over-30 League.

The “Over-30 Hockey League - Mylec Player of the Year” recognizes a player’s individual accomplishment over both 15-game seasons for the 2021-2022 - 30th Anniversary Season.
At age 52, Matty Iannello just finished his best season ever in the Over-30 League with 40-points (20-goals, 20-assists) to become only the 8th player in the league’s 30-year history to have a 20/20 season. Along with his “Over-30 Hockey League Mylec Player of the Year” award, he won his 18th scoring title with 40-points and was the “Over-30 Hockey 2022 Spring Season MVP.”
In partnership with Bill Abcunas (Over-30 League), Rick Laperriere and the Mylec Corporation wanted to acknowledge Matty’s achievement with a “2022 Mylec Player of the Year - Matty Iannello - 40- points (20-goals, 20-assists)” Ultra Curve Airflow <204> Commemorative Stick along with lots of
Mylec gear to celebrate this historic league event.
