DUNKIN DONUT PLAYER OF THE WEEK 10-10-20 |
| This week's Dunkin Donuts winner goes to Jason Carrien of Snow White. With his team locked into the 3rd playoff seed, Jason focused on beating that pink shirt/stick bag challenge. Needing only 1-goal, Jason left no doubt by scoring 4-goals to smash this challenge. How impressive? In his last six games, after scoring no goals in his first six games, Jason netted 10-goals (good for second place amonsgt goal scorers)! Jason silenced all his hecklers (right Naz?) with a "performance for the ages." becoming the first-ever defenseman to beat this challenge based on goals scored and NOT points. Well done.

FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 10-10-20 |
| This week's Five Guys winner goes to Scott Rosato filling in for Shockwave as their goalie. With first place hanging in the balance, Scott stepped in and stole the show for Shockwave to clinch the first playoff seed. Scott played his best game of the season, as he stopped 29 out of 30 shots faced, including an onslaught of 17 shots taken in the second period alone. Scott followed up that performance with another impressive performance for his Snow White team, stopping another 29 out of 30 shots faced.

DUNKIN DONUT PLAYER OF THE WEEK 10-3-20 |
| This week's Dunkin Donuts winner goes to Matt Farrell of Snow White. Having a quiet offensive season, Matt finally broke out, scoring a hat trick, scoring a goal in each period on only three shots taken in the game. Matt was the offense for his team, scoring all his team's goals. His game winner with less than two minutes to play was a dagger goal that was the difference in the game.
|
FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 10-3-20 |
| This week's Five Guys winner goes to Jamie Kehoe of Drama Queens. With his team's season on the brink of not qualifying for the playoffs, the captain stepped up when it mattered. Jamie's 2-assists on his team's first and third goals helped break open a close game to lead the way in clinching a playoff berth. Jamie also played solid defense while quaterbacking the play in his own end.

DUNKIN DONUT PLAYER OF THE WEEK 9-26-20 |
| This week's Dunkin Donuts winner goes to Angelo Deluca of Jake-O-Lanterns. We actually saw a "Kato" sighting! With their season on the line and playoff hopes fading fast, it was Kato who came to their rescue, leading the way in a hug win. With a relentless first period attack that saw his team score two early goals and outshoot their opponent by a 16-5 shot differential, Angelo set up the game's first goal then added an insurance goal in the third period to help seal a clutch win for the team.
|
FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 9-26-20 |
| This week's Five Guys winner goes to Steve Medeiros of Jake-O-Lanterns. He didn't show up on the game sheet for stats, but what Steve brought to his team in a big win was hustle and key plays throughout the game. From coverig players out front, to going into the corners and coming out with the ball, to making smart outlet passes, to blocking multiple shots. Steve was a difference maker for his team. His full out body block of a shot from the slot late in the game was a highlight play!

DUNKIN DONUT PLAYER OF THE WEEK 9-19-20 |
|
Oops sorry the camera moved while taking this picture. |
|
| This week's Dunkin Donuts winner goes to Jim Barber of Olive Pits. (This pains the voters). Last week, the first game back for his team's restart, Jim was away traveling on business. What he didn't tell anyone was he was watching videos of how Nikita Kucherov shoots his one timer's and diligently spending hours practicing his shot. The practice paid off as Jim scored a hat trick, scoring three of his team's four goals, including the game winner with less than a minute to play in the game.
|
FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 9-19-20 |
| This week's Five Guys winner goes to Gary Goodwin of Shockwave and Snow White. For year's, Gary has perfected the straight ahead runaway truck style of play at the expense of his offense. Gary has been tagged with the nickname of "Stonehands," for obvious reasons. Seven months away from the game has certainly changed all that as Gary has a new nickname of "SniperHands" to go along with a new found scoring game. Gary scored 2-goals (including the game winner late in the game) and added 1-assist to help Shockwave extend their winning streak to two games.

DUNKIN DONUT PLAYER OF THE WEEK 9-12-20 |
| This week's Dunkin Donuts winner goes to Mauro Colucciello of Olive Pits. It appears the 7 month hiatus has not affected Mauro's game. Rather, the time off seems to have re-energized his game. Mauro factored into four of his team's five goals scored, with 2-goals and 2-assists and in the process moved into the top spot in the leading scorer's race.
|
FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 9-12-20 |
| This week's Five Guys winner goes to Rich Pelletier of Shockwave. With the team missing three of their top forwards as well as their top defenseman, pressure would be on others to step up. The rookie did just that in his league debut, scoring a goal and giving his team a solid all-around performance. Welcome to the Over-30 league Rich.

DUNKIN DONUT PLAYER OF THE WEEK 3-7-20 |
| This week's Dunkin Donuts winner goes to Matt Farrell of Snow White. After missing half the season, out on IR with an upper body injury, Matt finally got rid of the invisibility cloak and announced he is back in dramatic fashion, factoring into four of the first five goals his team scored, with 1-goal and 3-assists in a rout of the opposition. His goal of waiting out the goalie on a breakaway and patiently scoring was a thing of beauty.

| This week's Five Guys winner goes to Chris Ducharme of Snow White. Normally playing center for his team, giving his team the best depth in the middle, Chris showed off his versatility by also filling in on defense to help out. Chris scored a goal and added an assist while also contributing the added factor of solid defense that completely shut down the opposition.

DUNKIN DONUT PLAYER OF THE WEEK 2-29-20 |
| This week's Dunkin Donuts winner goes to Nick Doherty of Jake-O-Lanterns. With his team facing a three goal deficit after one period, Nick took it upon himself to get back into the game by scoring 3-goals (some would say 4) and assisting on another in the second period, then capping it off by scoring the game winner in overtime, for a total of 4-goals. Nick factored in five of his team's six goals scored while leading the way in snapping that five game losing streak.

FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 2-29-20 |
AWAITING PHOTO
| This week's Five Guys winner goes to Todd Bryson of Jake-O-Lanterns. Todd broke out offensively with some timely play making as he set up three goals in a fiver goal second period scoring outburst for his team. Todd playe a key role in his team coming back from an early three goal deficit. Todd may not be the fastest player on the rink but his rink awareness and passing made a big difference in the outcome in his game.

A.A.R.P. Old timer award 2-22-2020 |
DUNKIN DONUT PLAYER OF THE WEEK 2-22-20 |
| This week's Dunkin Donuts winner goes to Nick Romano of Snow White. Tired of getting no respect for no recognition for the weekly awards, with his team missing its top two centers and top defenseman, Nick made his presence felt as "the man" for his team by factoring in on five of his team's six goals scored with 4-goals and 1-assist, in a dominating solo performance. Nick's clutch game tying goal with eighteen seconds to play and game winning goal in OT pulled out a surprising win for his team.
|
FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 2-22-20 |
| This week's Five Guys winner goes to Umberto "Papa" Biancardi of Drama Queens. Papa may not be able to keep up with the youngsters up and down on the rink, but, what he lacks in speed he more than makes up with scorer hands and coming up with some timely goals. In a game that turned into a defensive battle where the goals would be limited, Papa scored a big tying goal in close as he calmly roofed his shot over the goalie top corner. Out of all the players in his game, Papa also landed the most shots on net with 6, making his presence felt around the net.

A.A.R.P. Old timer award 2-15-2020 |
DUNKIN DONUT PLAYER OF THE WEEK 2-15-20 |
| This week's Dunkin Donuts winner goes to Ray Dow of Drama Queens. With his team in desperate need of a win to salvage their season, someone needed to step up. That someone was Ray who led the way in scoring 2-goals including the key first goal and game winner. Ray's goals moved him into a tie atop the scoring race.
|
FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 2-15-20 |
| This week's Five Guys winner goes to Jeff Deharo of Drama Queens. Playing his second straight strong game in net, doing his part to turn his team around and get back into the playoff race, Jeff had a solid impact game as he single-handedly kept his team in this game during the first and second periods, making multiple key saves, then slammed the door shut once his team produced on offense.
|
A.A.R.P. Old timer award 2-8-2020 |
DUNKIN DONUT PLAYER OF THE WEEK 2-8-20 |
| This week's Dunkin Donuts winner goes to Sean Roach of Shockwave. In a game that left no room for error, with his team scoring the only goal with eleven seconds to play, Sean was perfect in stopping all 28 shots he faced. Sean's timely impact saves throughout the game, was the difference for his team earning this win. For Sean, it was his second shutout of the season.
|
FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 2-8-20 |
| This week's Five Guys winner goes to Ron Aquino of Olive Pits. Ron and his line were making an impact all game long and accounted for four of the five goals his team scored. Ron's hustle and heads up plays paid off for him individually as he scored a goal and set up another (on championship jacket appreciation day).

A.A.R.P. Old timer award 2-1-2020 |
DUNKIN DONUT PLAYER OF THE WEEK 2-1-20 |
| This week's Dunkin Donuts winner goes to Ray Nickerson of Snow White. Leading the way offensively to help his team extend their winning streak alive at three games, Ray's two top shelf sniper goals, late in the second period on a power play, and early in the third period broke open a one-goal game. Rather than "phantom assists", both goals were legitimate goals by Ray.
|
FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 2-1-20 |
| This week's Five Guys winner goes to Dave Giusti of Olive Pits. Facing his biggest test this season, his team struggling to earn wins, Dave stood tall and stopped everythig that the first place team threw at him, stopping all 28 shots faced to earn his first shutout this season and helped lead the way for his team's first win of the season.

DUNKIN DONUT PLAYER OF THE WEEK 1-25-20 |
| This week's Dunkin Donuts winner goes to Tony Medeiros of Shockwave. After missing the first two games of the season, the prodigal son and "former" Portuguese Power made a triumphant return by returning to past glory. Tony scored a pair of goals, including the game winner late in the game (surrounded by three opposing players) and added an assist to help his team remain undefeated.
|
FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 1-25-20 |
| This week's Five Guys winner goes to Shawn Mulcahy of Snow White. Another prodigal son returned to action also after missing his team's first two games to play solid defense, made some heads up plays in taking the pressure off his defense team mates, and made a great diving play to keep the ball in leading to a scoring chance. In addition, Shawn accomplished something he didn't do all of last season and recorded a point by setting up a goal.

DUNKIN DONUT PLAYER OF THE WEEK 1-18-20 |
| This week's Dunkin Donuts winner goes to Mauro Colucciello of Olive Pits. With his team getting shutout and down by three goials heading into the third period, Mauro single-handedly got his team back into this game, leading the way in scoring four consecutive goals with a hat trick and adding an assist. Even though his team lost in OT (ironically on brother John's OT winner), Mauro's efforts gained his team a valuable point in the standings.
|
FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 1-18-20 |
| This week's Five Guys winner goes to Don Maccini of Drama Queens. Maybe it is the look of his playing attire and style that is throwing off his opponents, with the two different colored shin pads, the gloves hanging off and falling apart, or his deceptively slow speed. It definitely is working as Don has been playing under the radar doing his job on defense without much fanfare, playing some major minutes while controlling the pace of the game.

DUNKIN DONUT PLAYER OF THE WEEK 1-11-20 |
| This week's Dunkin Donuts winner goes to John Carey of Shockwave. With his captain going down in the first period with an upper body injury, and someone needing to step up, John did just that in a scoreless game. Not only did he play major minutes in keeping the other team off the scoreboard, he factored in on four of his team's five goals scored with
1-goal and 3-assists. John was a difference maker in this game.
|
FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 1-11-20 |
| This week's Five Guys winner goes to Mike Roberto of Shockwave. After not scoring a goal in 11 games played last season in his rookie debut, Mike changed all that this season as he scored his second goal of the season, keeping his goal scoring streak going while sparking a two goal scoring outburst within a minute in the second period to help his team break open a close game.

Congratulations Naz the inagural first-ever winner of the AARP weekly award |
|
|
DUNKIN DONUT PLAYER OF THE WEEK 1-4-20 |
| This week's Dunkin Donuts winner goes to Jim Clarke of Shockwave. Every once in a while, the voters will recognize not the star players but rather the blue collar players. Jim played a solid defensive game and limited the other team's scoring chances, put 4-shots on net and scored the game winning goal on a slap shot bomb from the point that capped of his team's comeback win.
|
FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 1-4-20 |
| This week's Five Guys winner goes to Naz of Jake-O-Lanterns. After finding out his team loaded up the first line on defense, Naz stepped up by playing some shutdown defense and not allowing the other team to score on his watch, reminding his opponent to get that (expletive) out of here. Elevating his overall play when it mattered by setting up the game winning goal and finishing the game with a plus 1.
