Mike, not scoring as often as he has in previous seasons, had a big impact on the outcome of this game, as he scores 2-goals, including the game winner late in the game that gave his team some breathing room, breaking a four-game scoreless drought, and shows why he is the league's premier goal scorer with his quick release.

The winner of the Dick’s Sporting Goods weekly award is Ray Dow of Dominions.
With the league’s strongest defensive foursome, Ray sometimes gets overlooked by the flashier play of the other defensemen on his team. But his calm playing style, while still battling lingering injuries, is starting to pay dividends, as he set up three of his team’s goals to break this game wide open.

Tom Gallagher
The winner of the weekly AARP award is Tom Gallagher of M*A*S*H.
Tom’s overall play as the leader of his team’s offense, team motivator and game strategist has been on full display this season. With his team playing short-handed missing five players on offense, Tom calmly led the way, scoring the game’s first goal then setting up the second goal thirty seconds later.

Sean Roach
The winner of the Nelson Sousa memorial Goalie of the Week award is Sean Roach of Dominions.
Sean posted his third shutout this season, stopping all 21 shots faced in winning his league leading seventh game this season. It may have only been 21 shots, but Sean made some key saves while this was still a close game for his team.

The winner of the Mylec Defenseman of the Week award is Steve Silveira of M*A*S*H.
Steve had a monster game on defense blocking too many shots to count and jumps up into the offense halfway through the first period to score a heads-up key goal while setting up the next goal thirty seconds later.

Angelo De Luca
The Dunkin Donuts Player of the Week award winner is Angelo De Luca of Barney & Friends.
Captain Angelo led the way for his short-handed team, scoring 2-goals, while setting up the game winner early in the third period. Angelo played a lot of major minutes and stepped up as a captain in motivating his team to bounce back from their worst loss of the season the previous night.

The winner of the Dick’s Sporting Goods weekly award is Derek Donegan of Barney & Friends.
Battling a lingering lower body injury all season, limiting his overall play and effectiveness, Derek answered the call in his game, playing a lot of minutes and quarterbacking the team’s defense, in playing a key part in his team’s big win.

Rick Cassano
The winner of the weekly AARP award is Rick Cassano of Dominions.
Ricky broke out his playmaking offense in a big way as he factored in on four of the six goals his team scored. Ricky’s game is starting to come around after a slow start and being a threat on the second line giving his team a big boost on balancing out their offense. There is no truth to the rumor that Ricky was extra motivated from the way his championship jacket was presented to him.

Scott Rosato
The winner of the Nelson Sousa memorial Goalie of the Week award is Scott Rosato of Barney & Friends
Scott had a HUGE bounce-back game from a disastrous previous game’s loss, as he stopped 25 out of 27 shots faced, and made the save of the year with less than thirty seconds to play in the game, sliding right to left and making the save while down and out to preserve the win for his team! Someone call a cop because Scott just robbed the opposing player of a sure goal.
Scott personally had a lot to prove to himself and his team that his previous game was just a very bad day at the office!

John Hines
The winner of the Mylec Defenseman of the Week award is John Hines of Dominions.
John returned to action after missing a couple of games in a big way as he broke out his offense which has been surprisingly dormant this season, by scoring 2-goals while adding an assist. In addition to his production on offense, John was able to lead the way with his defensive partners in emphatically shutting down the team ahead of them in the standings.

Pedro takes advantage of the scoring feeding frenzy for his team, leading the way with a breakout performance, scoring 5-goals, while adding an assist, as he makes a big jump in the leading scorer’s race.

Johnathan Cafarella
The winner of the Dick’s Sporting Goods weekly award is Johnathan Cafarella of Hammertime.
Johnathan played his best game this season, getting his running game going and taking more shots, and scores the game winning goal coming out of the penalty box in overtime on a bang-bang play at the crease.

Lee Nogler makes it count when needed for his team in the third period, with his team down a goal, scoring with only thirty-three seconds left in the game, while setting up a big tying goal earlier in the period.

The winner of the Nelson Sousa memorial Goalie of the Week award is Dale McIsaac of Hammertime.
Dale is under barrage all game facing a swarming attack by the opponent and 44 shots on net, coming up with multiple big saves in the third period with his team down a goal, and especially in overtime stopping all five shots faced, giving his team time before winning the game.

The winner of the Mylec Defenseman of the Week award is John Carey of Hammertime.
With his team facing a faster opponent that were strong on the forecheck, and the number one defenseman missing, John elevated his game to quarterback the defense, playing a lot of minutes. He scored the game’s first goal that set the tempo for his team in keeping up with their opponent.

Matty Iannello
The Dunkin Donuts Player of the Week award winner is Matty Iannello of Phoenix Rising.
Off to a slow start in his final season playing in the Over-30 league, Matty showcased his elite playmaking skills as he set up five goals out of the seven his team scored in their game. His scoring output elevated Matty with a big jump up the leading scorer’s race.

Mark Stickney
The winner of the Dick’s Sporting Goods weekly award is Mark Stickney of M*A*S*H.
The old man played his best game of the season, making an impact on his team’s offense with his playmaking skills by setting up two goals, including a big momentum shifting assist with seconds to play in the second period that took the wind out of the opponent’s comeback hopes.
Halfway through his fading hopes of beating his Pink Shirt Challenge with only one assist so far, this may just be the wake up call he needed to make a historic run to beat this challenge.

Garvin Chan
The winner of the weekly AARP award is Garvin Chan of Phoenix Rising.
Garvin had an impact game on offense, factoring in on five of his teams seven goals scored with 2-goals and 3-assists, leading the way for his team to break open a close game during the second period. If Garvin starts to heat up on offense, it will make his team more balanced and difficult to defend.

Mike Viera
The winner of the Nelson Sousa memorial Goalie of the Week award is Mike Viera filling in.
Mike continues to show why he is the number one fill-in goalie as he can show up to play for a team where he is not their regular goalie and not familiar with their defensive style, but always adapts and gives that team a chance to win.
Such was the case this week, as Mike stopped 29 of 31 shots faced, including multiple quality scoring chances during the second and third periods of his game, playing a big role in the team winning their game.

Chris Torres
The winner of the Mylec Defenseman of the Week award is Chris Torres of Dominions.
Chris continues to impact the offense from defense for his team and is starting to run away with the defensemen leading scoring race, setting up three goals (putting up seven points in his last two games).
Another defenseman competitor made a big mistake in calling out Chris’ chances for a repeat in the MVD race a few weeks ago, as he continues to provide the voters with notable production.

George Medeiros
The Dunkin Donuts Player of the Week award winner is George Medeiros of Azores Express.
The Energizer Bunny of the league who never stops hustling, George plays a great game overall, scoring 1-goal while adding 2-assists. He takes advantage of two gassed forwards playing defense with a brilliant individual move in OT to go around the sliding defensive player and beats the goalie with ten seconds left to play.

Jim Clarke
The winner of the Dick’s Sporting Goods weekly award is Jim Clarke of Hammertime.
Jim scores his first goal across both last and this season games to spark the momentum for his team, as his shot from the point down by four goals halfway through the game, cleanly beats the goalie, to lift his team up and gets them back into this game. Jim also sets up the third goal late in the period.

Colleen O'Connell
The winner of the weekly AARP award is Colleen O’Connell of Barney & Friends.
With her team playing short-handed on defense, Colleen played a lot of minutes and stood out for her overall play that was recognized by the voters earning her the consensus number 1 star of her game. Not only did she play solid defense but scored the game winning goal for her team early in the third period to beak open a close game.

The winner of the Nelson Sousa memorial Goalie of the Week award is Scott Rosato of Barney & Friends.
In a back-and-forth game with each team generating 30 shots on net, Scott makes some key saves in the second period to keep the game tied, until his team gets their offense going to break the game open in the third period. Scott was locked in during the third period to preserve the win.

Colleen O'Connell
The winner of the Mylec Defenseman of the Week award is Colleen O’ Connell of Barney & Friends.
Colleen scores her first goal in both seasons played this year (and first since the Spring 2023 season), and it is a big one (game winner) that changes the momentum early in the third period, on a shot from the left point. Hats off to Colleen for showing Jim Barber and Naz how it’s easy to score a goal in the Over-30 league that even a girl can do it, before either one of them can score this season!

The Dunkin Donuts Player of the Week award winner is Dave Norton of M*A*S*H.
Dave returns from a two-game absence, buys in to the team concept, and has a breakout game, scoring a hat trick and sets up two goals, as he is the best scorer in his game. If he can keep his legs going and starts finding his scoring touch, it will make his team ever harder to defend.

John is looking finally healthy and playing forward full time, as stays hot scoring some big goals (his second game winning goal), extending his goal scoring streak to three games. Quietly, John is making a big difference in his team's scoring balance.

It looks like Dave’s recent overseas trip to get blessed by the pope in Milan has started paying off as he stopped 26 or 28 shots by the top team, to extend his personal winning streak to three straight games in net, helping his team move up in the standings.

With two of his fellow defensive teammates out on IR, Ike stepped into the role of top defenseman, playing a lot of minutes, and shut down one of the top teams (and fastest teams) in the league. In addition, Ike made life easy for the fill-in goalie stepping in for his regular goalie.

Welcome back Dave Costa. The captain made the play of the game in his game, late in the second period in a very close game, as he reads the play and leaves the point intercepting a pass and picks the far side top corner from inside the right circle, cleanly beating the goalie.
In addition, Dave continues to quarterback his team’s defense, in shutting down the opponent’s top players.
