2025 Spring Weekly Award Winners
Week #15
Matty Iannello

The Dunkin Donuts Player of the Week award winner is Matty Iannello of Phoenix Rising.

For his last regular season game played, Matty Iannello has a "blast from the past" experience going out in style, as he showcases his playmaker and game control skills as the impact player in this game, factoring in on every goal his team scores, with 1-goal and 3-assists.

Matty Iannello
Week #15
Derrick Power

The winner of the Dick’s Sporting Goods weekly award is Derrick Power of Dominions.

Derrick Power feeds off his captain's energy and scoring, as he breaks out with a key highlight goal halfway through this game that takes the wind out of the opponent, while also setting up two goals.  If Derrick starts heating up for this team in the playoffs, it is bad news for the competition.

Derrick Power
Week #15
Matty Iannello

The winner of the weekly AARP award is Matty Iannello of Phoenix Rising.

We saw vintage Matty playing in his last regular season game, with his leadership and control of his team’s offense, making some heads up reads to find open teammates for goals.  It was a fitting performance for the last time he will play in a regular season.

Matty Iannello
Week #15
Sean Roach

The winner of the Nelson Sousa memorial Goalie of the Week award is Sean Roach of Dominions.

Sean stepped up all game, making some timely key saves to keep the momentum with his team, stopping all 25 shots faced, while posting his league leading 4th shutout of the season!  Sean left no doubt as he also won back-to-back Best Goalie awards.  Well done Sean.

Sean Roach
Week #15
John Hines

The winner of the Mylec Defenseman of the Week award is John Hines of Dominions.

John plays one of the best defensive quarterback games we have witnessed this season, especially in a big game with so much riding on the outcome.  While controlling play in his own zone always making the right plays, John steps into the offense and sets up three goals.

John Hines
Week #14
Dominic DeFrancisco

The Dunkin Donuts Player of the Week award winner is Dominic Defrancisco of Dominions.

In a close one-goal game late in the second period, Dominic took over this game by sparking his team’s scoring outburst, scoring 2-goals within two minutes of each other, then set up another three goals, turning this game into a rout.  Surprisingly this season, this was Dom’s first Player of the Week award.

Dominic DeFrancisco
Week #14
Pedro Fontes

The winner of the Dick’s Sporting Goods weekly award is Pedro Fontes of Azores Express.

After missing a few games dealing with a lingering lower body injury that was impacting his production on the rink, Pedro looked healthier and had a big impact on his team’s comeback tie, as he was very active running finding open space and led all players with 10 shots on net.  After scoring the game’s first goal, down by a goal with time running out, Pedro made it count scoring his second goal with just over a minute remaining.

Pedro Fontes
Week #14
Tony Medeiros

The winner of the weekly AARP award is Tony Medeiros of Dominions.

In a tie game, Tony broke out his scoring touch, as he scored a hat trick with goals scored in each period, that changed a close game into a rout for his team.  If Tony starts burying his chances, his Dominions team will be tough to beat come playoff time.

Tony Medeiros
Week #14
Dave Giusti

The winner of the Nelson Sousa memorial Goalie of the Week award is Dave Giusti of M*A*S*H.

Not surprisingly that the M*A*S*H team has won four straight games and continue to move up the team standings on the verge of the playoffs as Dave has played a big role in that.  Stopping 27 out of 29 shots faced in the game, Dave played very strong in the third period with his team down a goal, making some key saves.

Not only did Dave shine in net, but also shined as the Pitmaster immediately after his game as well as the other two games, as the head chef preparing and serving the meat and food at the league’s “pop up barbeque” food event giving back to all the players.

Dave Giusti
Week #14
Paul Firicano

The winner of the Mylec Defenseman of the Week award is Paul Firicano of Barney & Friends.

After coming back from IR with a nagging lower body injury, Paul played as if never missing any games, quarterbacking his team’s defense, assisting on a goal, and playing some major minutes in key game situations.  Showing again why Paul is one of the league’s top defensemen.

Paul Firicano
Week #13
Derrick Power

The Dunkin Donuts Player of the Week award winner is Derrick Power of Dominions.

Every once in a while, it’s a lunch pail blue collar grunt player who stands out for this weekly award and has his moment, not the expected star players.

Such was the case with Derrick Power out four of his last five games on IR recovering from a medical procedure, who hustled all game to be in the right place at the right time, reaping the benefits of his team's scoring feast, scoring his first 2-goals of the season.

Derrick Power
Week #13
Tim Burke

The winner of the Dick’s Sporting Goods weekly award is Tim Burke of M*A*S*H.

Tim who has been out 7 weeks on IR with a lower body injury and scheduled for season-ending surgery, provided some unexpected motivation for his team by suiting up and playing to give his team an emotional boost, as he scored his only goal this season late in the game that provided some insurance in helping his team win their third straight game.

Tim Burke
Week #13
Mike Luise

The winner of the weekly AARP award is Mike Luise of Azores Express.

Old man Mike continues to show why he is a reliable and productive second line center, displaying his playmaker passing skills with 1-goal and 3-assists, as his assists break open a close game in the third period.

Mike Luise
Week #13
Jake Deehan

The winner of the Nelson Sousa memorial Goalie of the Week award is Jake Deehan of Azores Express.

With his team surprisingly trailing by a goal after the first period, Jake settles into lockdown mindset stopping every shot thrown at him in the last two periods giving his team time to get their offense in gear.  It was a solid game by Jake who will be the key to his team’s chances in the playoffs, as they have the speed, defense, balanced scoring to match up against any team.

Jake Deehan
Week #13
Steve Medeiros

The winner of the Mylec Defenseman of the Week award is Steve Medeiros of Azores Express.

Steve once again played his under the radar steady game on defense, especially in the third period helping to shut down the opponent’s offense.  With his team clinging to a one-goal lead in the third period, Steve made a heads up play to jump into the offense and score a big insurance goal late in the game, preserving his team’s win.

Steve Medeiros
Week #12
George Medeiros

The Dunkin Donuts Player of the Week award winner is George Medeiros of Azores Express.

George, who has been unusually very quiet on the score sheet this season, finally has a breakout game on offense, leading the way for his team by scoring 4-goals, including a natural hat trick in the first period alone.

George Medeiros
Week #12
Todd Bryson

The winner of the Dick’s Sporting Goods weekly award is Todd Bryson of M*A*S*H.

Todd is finding ways to make an impact for his team when it matters to give them some secondary scoring, as he scores a big goal in the second period that holds up as the game winner.

Todd Bryson
Week #12
Gino Tammaro

The winner of the weekly AARP award is Gino Tammaro of Azores Express.

Gino, who has not scored a point in three of his last four games, gets back on track scoring 1-goal and adding 2-assists, to remain near the top of the leading scorer’s race.

Gino Tammaro
Week #12
Dave Giusti

The winner of the Nelson Sousa memorial Goalie of the Week award is Dave Giusti of M*A*S*H.

Dave is locked in for this game, stopping 27 out of 28 shots, as he shuts down the high-powered offense of his opponent and plays a big role in the outcome of this game for his team.

Dave Giusti
Week #12
Cappy

The winner of the Mylec Defenseman of the Week award is Cappy of Azores Express.

Cappy, also unusually missing on the game sheets, finally gets involved in his team's offense, playing the role of the playmaker, setting up three first period goals for his team.

Cappy
Week #11
Mike Duggan

The Dunkin Donuts Player of the Week award winner is Mike Duggan of Barney & Friends.

Mike, not scoring as often as he has in previous seasons, had a big impact on the outcome of this game, as he scores 2-goals, including the game winner late in the game that gave his team some breathing room, breaking a four-game scoreless drought, and shows why he is the league's premier goal scorer with his quick release.

Michael Duggan
Week #11
Ray Dow

The winner of the Dick’s Sporting Goods weekly award is Ray Dow of Dominions.

With the league’s strongest defensive foursome, Ray sometimes gets overlooked by the flashier play of the other defensemen on his team.  But his calm playing style, while still battling lingering injuries, is starting to pay dividends, as he set up three of his team’s goals to break this game wide open.

Ray Dow
Week #11
Tom Gallagher

The winner of the weekly AARP award is Tom Gallagher of M*A*S*H.

Tom’s overall play as the leader of his team’s offense, team motivator and game strategist has been on full display this season.  With his team playing short-handed missing five players on offense, Tom calmly led the way, scoring the game’s first goal then setting up the second goal thirty seconds later.

Tom Gallagher
Week #11

Derek Donegan
Week #10
Rick Cassano

The winner of the weekly AARP award is Rick Cassano of Dominions.

Ricky broke out his playmaking offense in a big way as he factored in on four of the six goals his team scored.  Ricky’s game is starting to come around after a slow start and being a threat on the second line giving his team a big boost on balancing out their offense.  There is no truth to the rumor that Ricky was extra motivated from the way his championship jacket was presented to him.

Rick Cassano
Week #10
Scott Rosato

The winner of the Nelson Sousa memorial Goalie of the Week award is Scott Rosato of Barney & Friends

Scott had a HUGE bounce-back game from a disastrous previous game’s loss, as he stopped 25 out of 27 shots faced, and made the save of the year with less than thirty seconds to play in the game, sliding right to left and making the save while down and out to preserve the win for his team!  Someone call a cop because Scott just robbed the opposing player of a sure goal.

Scott personally had a lot to prove to himself and his team that his previous game was just a very bad day at the office!

Scott Rosato

The old man played his best game of the season, making an impact on his team’s offense with his playmaking skills by setting up two goals, including a big momentum shifting assist with seconds to play in the second period that took the wind out of the opponent’s comeback hopes.

Halfway through his fading hopes of beating his Pink Shirt Challenge with only one assist so far, this may just be the wake up call he needed to make a historic run to beat this challenge.
