February Giveback(s)

This week we will award two more players with a pair of tickets to a Bruins game.

Tuesday March 3^rd vs Pittsburg Penguins

Tuesday March 31^st vs Dallas Stars.

These tickets were donated to the league, with special thanks to Ed Nigro and Lee Nogler for their continuous generosity to the league and its players.

With no repeat monthly winners… your chances of winning increases with each monthly drawing.

With (6) games played last weekend we cannot recount all of the games as the forum would be two long for our readers.  So in lieu of 18-storylines… we give you last weekends “Highlights & Lowlights”

Weekend Disappointment

The biggest lowlight of the weekend must be the continuing disappointment of Mike Duggan and his 18-goal challenge.  Mike scored one hat trick early this season (Week #2) and like a Maine Grizzly Bear, he’s gone into hibernation for the past 6-weeks.  It must kill “Poopsie” to see who’s leading the league in goals scored.

Weekend Losers

Another weekend lowlight was the double loss by Cam-A-Lot who dropped from 2^nd to 4^th via being outscored by their opponents 7-4

The leagues Director of fundraising and Special Events Tony Medeiros gets two thumbs down for his weekend leading two penalties… and a sideline reporter commented by saying “If I was on the First Responders… I would goat him into a third and get him tossed”

Weekend Slumpers

The high-powered offense of Tommy Guns split their weekend bouts 1-1 thanks to their slumping goal production over the weekend by scoring only 3-goals (and none of them) by Mike Duggan as he reserved his scoring for the Poo Bears.

Or, was it the stellar goaltending by Dale McIsaac (only 2-goals) and a loss to Tommy Guns… and Sean Roach (only 1-goal) for the Poo Bears win.

Help on the Horizon

Rumor has it that there are still some final tweaks coming to the league.  A couple of pieces to help balance out some of the gaps and needs of a few teams.

Official announcements will follow once they sign their waiver wire contracts to finish out the season for their new teams.  You’ll see one this week… and other possibilities are in the works.  To avoid leaks in the media… more details will follow once it’s official.

Last of the Winless

With their first and only win of the season for The Revolution, and a couple of players absent… Rich Pelletier and Ron Aquino are now the last of the zombie “winless” to roam the upstairs dek at Hockeytown.

Colleen O’Connell should have been on the list… but she made it back from Florida just in time to play her first game of the season, and for a brief 24-hours she was the only undefeated player in the league (until Sunday’s loss) … just in case you want to toast that too, Gary Goodwin.

“Behind the P”

It looks like Poo Bears Captain Dave Costa is facing the possibility of shutting it down for the season with a medical reason.  HIPPA Laws prevent us from disclosing Dave’s condition, but let’s just say he’s been diagnosed as the new Poo Bears “Coach”.

With Dave facing the possibility of being the permanent doorman… he could make history as the first “Captain” and now “Coach” to win back-to-back championships.

The only question left is who will wear the “C” for Poo Bears.  Tune in this week for the new Netflix series “Behind the P” when we see who gets a rose from Dave, and who gets voted out of the tribe… wait we might be combining a few reality shows.

But anyway, tune in next week to see if there is an official announcement and change in leadership for the Poo Bears.
