In the Over-30 league, Jeff is one of the most reliable and consistently solid performing goalies. As a defenseman, you never have to look behind you and worry about who is in net, as you know that Jeff will always have your back on a defensive breakdown.
Consistently known for making that first save, if you happen to score a goal off Jeff, you better score that second one quickly because that door gets closed pretty quickly. Jeff plays a textbook stand-up style and will cover a lot of net by making himself appear bigger to the shooters. Not flashy or unorthodox, what you get in Jeff as a goalie is consistency, dependability and a technician between the pipes. These qualities have produced rewards for Jeff, including (4*) league championships and second overall in career regular season wins and career regular season goals against average, as well as third in career playoff wins.
Now playing in his 31st season, Jeff has progressively moved out from the pack of average goalies to become one of the Over-30’s all-time elite goalies. A fierce competitor, Jeff has multiple leading goalie seasonal awards and posted numerous shut outs to validate his focus on the rink. Off the rink, Jeff is a true gentleman and good friend to have on your side who would do anything to help you out. This generous character has been prominent with his continued devotion in maintaining and updating the league’s official website.
Rumors & Facts
- Never has to worry about that dreaded goalie physical condition of “red lightits”
- A player once taunted Jeff calling him “Swiss cheese” and a “Sieve” prompting Jeff to post shutouts in 3 of his next 4 games.
- Likes to walk around the rink shirtless after a game and show off his pecks… which are more commonly known as “Moobs” or “Man Cans”
- Once let up Championship GWG from 50ft away on what was supposed to be a “dump and change”… on a harmless little shot from a short little defensemen (we miss you RV)
- The book on Jeff was to take long shots as he was one nicknamed “Dehorrible” for his inability to stop the long shot.
- In the All-Time Career Stats file… there is an “*” next to championship win #2 with Help Wanted.., not because he was accused of using steroids to maintain his physical peakness… turns out, Jeff did not actually play the championship game.
