Scott Young joined the league (Season 7) and current Over-30 Board Member. He is best known for those tiny hockey sticks, his patterned “flip & go move” along with inability to “finish” helped earned him the perfect nickname “The Pretender”. Scott is the 4th inductee into the Over-30 Hall of Fame, but the first in the “Builders” category for his continuous dedication and voice for the players.

Dave Curcio joined the league (Season 10) and was one of the league’s premier two-way centerman. Often associated as the 4th “Grutti Brother” his backchecking capabilities was a goalie’s dream. Dave had an uncanny ability to score a timely clutch goal when needed. He was also part of the historic 2010 Bad Call team that broke the “Double Curse”.

Franco Grutti joined the league (Season 7) as the middle brother of the legendary, Franco had a goals scorer touch that he used to taunt his younger goaltender brother and fellow Over-30 Hockey Hall of Fame inductee Sandro Grutti. Franco even went so far as to place a piece of tape with “Sandro” on his blade. He made league history as the Captain that ended the “Double Curse” for not one, but two players that played in the league the longest without winning a championship.

Denny Beaupre joined the league (Season 7) and is arguably one of the best goalies to play in the Over-30 League, but also his reputation as one of the best to play at Hockeytown, and on the tournament circuit. You knew Denny (and the game) were in cruise control when he stood in his crease with both arms sprawled out on top of the crossbar just waiting for action to return his way.

Sandro Grutti was the baby in the “Grutti Trio” and the only one brave enough to strap on the goalie pads and face the shots from his older brothers that help mold Sando into a marquee goaltender that he became. Sandro went on to become one of the top goalies ever to play in the league, getting into opponent’s heads making them think twice about where to shoot the ball.

Bill Mack is an original (Season 1) player and first-ever team captain to win back-to-back championships in the league’s first two seasons. He was the first impact defenseman on offense who could join the attack and score. His imposing size (aka twin tower) with an uncanny ability to read the play and control the ball in his zone. Billy is the third player to have his jersey number #2 retired.

Ricky Lavoie is an original (Season 1) player and one of the best all-around top centers to ever play in the league. In his 14 ½ years played, Ricky accumulated almost 500 career points and won 8 championship games he played in. The only game his team played without him in the finals (they lost). Known as the Lavoie brother everyone wanted to play on their team.
