WEEK # 15 (4-12-14)
The winner of the 5 Guys- Lunch Pail Gang Award, goes to Sean Snelders of the Shooting Stars. Sean played a big role in his team's victory in helping them make a late season surge up the standings to clinch second place overall. Sean assisted on the go-ahead goal early in the second period, then followed that up with the eventual game winning goal early in the third period. Even though he has only played half a season, Sean has added some depth to his team's second line with hard work and determined effort.

WEEK # 14 (4-5-14)
This week's Dunkin Donut winner is Jim Barber of Shooting Stars. With the last playoff opening on the line Jim played a key role in making sure his team made the playoffs. Jim's first goal was back breaker some call it cheap but some how the ball rolled of his stick and under the pads of Alby. With the goalie pulled because Golden Oldies had to win the game and could not settle for a tie, Jim shot the ball from just inside the blue line putting the final nail in Dan's back in return missing the playoff's for the second season in a row.

WEEK # 14 (4-5-14)
The winner of the 5 Guys- Lunch Pail Gang Award, goes to Mike Hollingsworth of the Blame The Girl. Mike's 2-assists, one late in the first period, the other halfway through the second period, helped extend his team's lead and break open a close game. Combined with his positional play, blocked shots and uncanny ability to keep the ball in the offensive zone all play a crucial role in his team's fourth straight win and ninth overall win this season.

|
WEEK # 13 (3-29-14)
This week's Dunkin Donut winner is Mauro Colucciello of Golden Oldies. Mauro took over this game scoring three goals in the first period. Dan had a dream the night before putting his brother on defense so that Mauro could be free to do what he does best that is score. There was no stupid behind the passes from his brother no look passes nothing all Mauro needed was real forwards with him to make him shine. Great move by Dan which helped keep there playoff chances alive.

WEEK # 13 (3-29-14)
The winner of the 5 Guys- Lunch Pail Gang Award, goes to Mark Stickney of the Shooting Stars. In a must win game for his team, Mark led the offense as he factored into every goal for his team, scoring a goal and adding 2-assists to keep his team in position to grab that, final playoff spot. The ageless wonder was hustling all over the rink in this game, having some fun out there, leaving no doubt how focused he was in getting his team into the playoffs.

|
WEEK # 12 (3-22-14)
This week's Dunkin Donut winner is Mario Deluca of Cuckoo's Nest. Mario is not leading the league in scoring like his brother, but is having himself a great rookie season so far. With two of his back line mates out with injurys, Mario stepped up and helped his team pull out a major victory keeping hold onto second place.

|
WEEK # 12 (3-22-14)

Rick's energy, running game and positional play all played contributing factors in his team's victory.

WEEK # 11 (3-15-14)
The winner of the 5 Guys- Lunch Pail Gang Award, goes to Joe "Turtle" Mancinelli of Golden Oldies. Joe showed up to play this past week and was a key reason why the Golden Oldies earned a much needed win to stay in the playoff chase. Joe's goal and assist late in the second period, less than two minutes apart, broke open a close game and was the difference for his team winning. As Joe always says, the Over-30 players who run like hares and use their speed to awe the fans come and go, but it is the turtles of the Over-30 league who are steady and consistent and who win out in the long run.

|
WEEK # 10 (3-8-14)

WEEK # 10 (3-8-14)
The winner of the 5 Guys- Lunch Pail Gang Award, goes to Matt Reghitto of Shooting Stars. Matt continues to impress week in and week out, not only by playing solid defense in his own end but surprisingly scoring on the offensive end. Matt's hustle and positioning play has helped his team allow the second fewest goals in the league this season.

WEEK # 9 (3-1-14)
This week's Dunkin Donut winner is Alby Luise of Golden Oldies. Last year Alby was playing defense this year he is back in net. After a slow start, Alby has found his groove between the pipes stopping 33 out of 36 shots on net. In the third period with the game tied 3 to 3 Alby came up big stopping all 14 shots that he faced some were great scoring chances, but Alby stood tall and came away with the tie.

WEEK # 9 (3-1-14)
The winner of the 5 Guys- Lunch Pail Gang Award, goes to Jim Barber of Shooting Stars. Jim finally scored his first goal of the season in his seventh game played to temporarily silence his critics who said he would never score a goal this season. Jim also added an assist. However, it wasn't just his production on the rink that earned Jim this award; it was also his production off the rink as he stepped up and did the little things that made a big impression. Noticing that the Director had a flat tire, Jim did not hesitate and jumped into action, changing the tire then following the Director to the nearest gas station to ensure that there was enough air in the spare tire. Jim works 16 hours a day and has no time for weekly updates. Jim's good deed probably will prevent him from not making any Forum updates again because he was too tired from fixing that flat tire.

WEEK # 8 (2-22-14)
This week's Dunkin Donut winner is Nick Romano of Cukoo's Nest . With the great one out with a foot injury someone had to step up last night. It has been a long time coming almost two season's, and final Nicky can claim his first Dunkin Donut award. He finished with two goals one of them the game winner and one assits. It has been and up and down season with all the snow this season it was long and sleepless nights for Nick. Who are we kidding all you see from Nick's truck are just sparks flying every where. Most snow plow drivers are out their to get the road safe, not Nick he is out their 24/7 to rip the tax papers money to plow when there is nothing on the ground except wet cement. If your taxes keep going up please blame Nick for this increase.

|
WEEK # 8 (2-22-14)
The winner of the 5 Guys- Lunch Pail Gang Award, goes to Scott Rosato of Cuckoo's Nest. There comes a time when every goalie in the Over-30 league goes through some difficult times playing that position. Such was the case for Scott during the previous few weeks. It wasn't just about reducing the amont of goals allowed; it was proving something to his team mates, his peers and expecially himself. Scott stopped 31 out 33 shots he faced, many of them in the third period, making the timely and big save when his team needed him to for a well deserved victory.

|
WEEK # 7 (2-15-14)
This week's Dunkin Donut winner is Derek Shaw of White Lightning . It's been a tough start to the new season for Derek who has missed some games and the trouble finding his game. There are a lot of expectations on Derek to lead the way in scoring for his team this season. Finally, his break out performanance came quickly, scoring his team's first two goals early in his game, as Derek scored a hat trick and added an assist in his team's blowout win. Derek's goals provided all the momentum his team would need in this game.

|
WEEK # 7 (2-15-14)
The winner of the 5 Guys- Lunch Pail Gang Award, goes to Jim Clarke of the White Lightning. Long known as as steady defenseman who likes to play physical on the rink and jump into the offense, Jim jumped in with both feet, scoring 2-goals and adding 1-assist. while limiting the opposition's shots on net. When the other team did manage a scoring attempt, Jim was there to deny them any quality scoring chances. With his scoring performanace, Jim made a big jump up in the defenseman scoring race amongst the leaders.

WEEK # 6 (2-8-14)
This week's Dunkin Donut winner is Angleo Deluca of Cuckoo's Nest. If you look at the top of the leader board you will not see the great one Matty I, or Dominic it is Angleo Deluca. Last nights game was a shoot-out,with both goalies having sunburns on the back of their necks from the red lights coming on goal after goal. Angleo finished with five goals one a punk move shooting the ball into a open net with no goalie. He also finished with three assits having himself a eight point night.

WEEK # 6 (2-8-14)
Week 6's winner of the 5 Guys- Lunch Pail Gang Award, goes to George Medeiros of the Shooting Stars. George has been one of the Shooting Stars most consistent players this season. You won't find George scoring a lot of goals (not from a lack of scoring attempts) ; what he does is turn those scoring chances into great passes to set up his team mates, usually resulting in goals. George has been driving the success of the second line for the Shooting Stars with his positioning, passing, fore checking and going into the dirty areas against bigger opponents. It's ironic that for the second season in a row it is the Medeiros Portuguese player named George who has won a weekly award before the one named Tony. The Portuguese Power Player of the Over-30 league? We will let the players decide this debate.

Then John took over with his speed setting up the final goal. John finished with one goal and three assists.

|
WEEK # 5 (2-1-14)
This week's Lunch Pail Gang Award winner is Shawn Wyatt of Cuckoo's Nest. Shawn has been under a lot of pressure this season, having to fill some big sneakers playing on the first line with Matty I and Ray Nickerson. Usually, most teams ignore Shawn as no threat on the right wing. Not this week , as Shawn somehow transformed during the game into Patrick Kane with some creative stickhandling and passing, scoring 1-goal and adding a key assist on a heads up play. Shawn's effort was just one of a few factors in his team handing the previous undefeated Blame The Girl team their first loss of the Spring season.

|
WEEK # 4 (1-25-14)
This week's Dunkin Donut winner is Jon Pickard of Blame The Girl. Jon has made the jump from Defense to Forward. After his first game up front he made the second click finishing with one goal and two assists. Jon has waited for his chance the last couple of seasons to move up front to showcase his skills. With Jon's speed up front this should open things up for Blame The Girl.

|
WEEK # 4 (1-25-14)
This week's Lunch Pail Gang Award winner is Alby Luise of Golden Oldies. After a bumpy start in his first game back playing net after a few seasons of playing defense, Alby loks like he is back. His play in net will be a major reason if the Golden Oldies get into the playoffs. Alby has looked more and more comfortable playing net after only a few games played, as we suspected. He single-handedly kept his team in their game last week, facing 38 shots, only allowing three goals against. During this game , Alby kept coming up with that key save time after time and kept this a tie game late into the third period.
|
|
WEEK # 3 (1-18-14)
This week's Dunkin Donut winner is Anthony Lauletta of Golden Oldies. Last year the Golden Oldies sat by and watched from the couches while everyone else was playing in the playoffs. This season after the first two games scoring zero goals and in last place again something had to give. Thanks to Anthony they came out fighting last night. Anthony finished with four goals. The reason you see the great one in this photo, is last night we held our fantasy league and Matty picked Anthony as his top forward, plus Matt is not shy in front of a camera.
|
|
WEEK # 3 (1-18-14)
This week's Lunch Pail Gang Award winner is Angelo Deluca of Cuckoo's Nest. With his team missing a few forwards, Angelo played some major minutes and showcased his skills when it mattered most. Angelo scored his only goal late in the game on a great individual effort, putting his team ahead, and then added his third assist of the game in overtime to help his team pull out the victory. Angelo finished with four shots on net, it was his passing that stood out in this game.

|
WEEK # 2 (1-11-14)
This week's Dunkin Donut winner is Scotty Young of White Lightning. Scotty so far this year has won the Pink Stick Bag Challenge and know the Dunkin Donut Award for his outstanding play last week. He scored one goal and chipped in with three assists leading his team to a 5 to 0 victory over Cockoo's Nest. All he has left this year winning a championship and the lonley five guys award.
|
|
WEEK # 2 (1-11-14)
This week's Lunch Pail Gang Award winner is Carlos Machado of Blame The Girl. Even though Carlos failed to record a point on the score sheet in his game, he played a very smart two-way game. With four shots on net, it was not Carlos' shooting skills that stood out, but, more of his passing skills. Even more noticeable was the fact that it was very quiet on the rink when Carlos was out there.
|
|
WEEK # 1 (1-4-14)
This week's Dunkin Donut winner is Matty Iannello of Cuckoo's Nest. All you have too do is put a challenge in front of Matt and he will prove you wrong. The over 30 hockey board of directors picked Matty for the Pink stick bag challenge for the 2014 Spring season. All he has to do is score 13 goals all season and after last week he needs ONLY 10 goals for the rest of the season. Matt was on fire last week scoring a hat trick leading his team to a 7 to 0 win over the Golden Oldies.

WEEK # 1 (1-4-2014)
The first regular season weekly winner of the Lunch Pail Gang Award, goes to the new Portuguese Power player in the Over-30 league. No, it is not someone with the first name Tony, Dom, George or Sergio. He goes by the name of John Leite of Blame The Girl. John's two goals, scored forty seconds apart halfway through the third period, provided his team with some added insurance, in helping his team thrash the defending champs in a statement game. John finished with 5 shots on net and played a strong two-way game. On his second goal, John made a goal scorer's highlight reel play by shifting the ball in tight onto his backhand and roofinh the shot under the crossbar (Tony Medeiros was seen watching and taking notes from the bench)
