Tony Bono has accepted the Smiling Pete Lodi “Pink Stick Bag” Challenge.
Since Tony is not a prolific goal scorer.., his challenge for the 2013 Spring Season is to record 9-points in total. If Tony score 9-points he wins a $50 gift card to Pure Hockey. If he scores 8-points or less, Tony will taking his sticks in the “Pink Stick Bag” for the 2013 Winter Season.
While putting these challenges together… we base the challenge on actual stat history. Jim Barber averaged 6-goals per season, so we placed a 7-goal challenge… and true to form, Jim only posted 6-goals and thus lost the challenge.
Next up Tony Bono… since he averages 9-points a season. Tony’s challenge is 9-points.
Other challenges being considered before selecting Tony was;
John Mastrocola – Stay healthy and play in (7) games.
Nick Romano – Take (125) shots over the course of the season.
Steve Oppedisano – Average (3) falls per game.
Scott “El Baby” Young – Average (2) whiney Referee arguments per game.
Dave “The Anchor” Hill – (6) “Ass checking” Penalties
Ray Nickerson – (4) Cries per game that… “He was open!!!”
John Colucciello – Take a face-off in a timely manner (Just one!).
This young early season Midas Touch is looking like a serious contender as (4) players are in the top (7) of the League Leaders.

Ray Dow’s jersey… is it jinxed?
After Ray Down went down early in the 1st period against the Wanna Be’s.., fill-in player Jim Barber wore Ray’s #5 jersey and quickly went down also in the1st period with a twisted left ankle on a (non-call) penalty trip from Umberto Baldassarre. Halfway through the 2nd period it was Déjà vu (again) with Umberto once again twisting Jim’s right ankle on another (non-call) tripping penalty. Finally in the 3rd when Umberto accidentally stepped on Jim’s stick and falls… Jim gets a minute for tripping… WTF?
The important thing… Own my Own went on to win the game for an injured Ray Dow.
