DUNKIN DONUT PLAYER OF THE WEEK 3-27-21 |
This week’s Dunkin Donut winner goes to Manny Nunes of Drama Queens. Typically, there are no repeat winners for this award unless a player’s performance stands out. Manny’s performance stood out. Trailing by two points in the leading scorer’s race, Manny took care of business by scoring a hat trick in winning his first-ever scoring title. With the pressure on knowing what he had to do, Manny made it look easy. Congratulations Manny.

FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 3-27-21 |
| This week’s Five Guys winner goes to Derrick Power of Shockwave. Derrick may not have made it onto the score sheet, but he stood out all game long for his hustle, his fore checking and pressure on the defense and his non-hesitancy to shoot the ball, landing 4 shots on net. His efforts all game long gave that second line an energy boost and could be the spark his team needs heading into the playoffs.

A.A.R.P. Old timer award 3-20-2021 - Colleen O'Connell |
DUNKIN DONUT PLAYER OF THE WEEK 3-20-21 |
This week’s Dunkin Donut winner goes to Don Maccini of Drama Queens. Don didn’t win this weekly award because of his first step blazing speed, nor for his meticulous fashion sense of wearing all the best-looking equipment and clothes, nor for his uncanny routine of showing up early to his games. No, Don won this for his adaptability to transition from defense to forward utilizing his playmaking ability to elevate the play of his line mates, as evidenced by his 1-goal and 1-assist in the game.
FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 3-20-21 |
| This week’s Five Guys winner goes to Tim Hickey of Drama Queens. Known as one of the fastest players in the league, if you give Tim a step, he is gone. That same fore-checking speed can also create havoc on the opposing team’s defenses as evidenced by his assist on a late second period goal. He may not be high up on the scorer’s list but Tim’s all around play this season and doing the little things has been noticed.

FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 3-13-21 |
| This week’s Five Guys winner goes to Jake Deehan of Jake-O-Lanterns. It’s been a solid turnaround season for Jake who has been on a roll in net, showing every week he is deserving of all the accolades coming his way. For the first time this season, the leader in the goalie race is the old Jake, not the new Jake. Jake stopped all 30 shots he faced to record his second shutout of the season and take the lead in that category as well.

With his team needing a win to keep alive in the playoff chase, Ray brought his A-game to carry his team on his back, scoring 1-goal and assisting on the game’s first two goals, as he factored in on three of the four goals his team scored. Plus, those two assists were legitimate and not phantom assists.
FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 3-6-21 |
| This week’s Five Guys winner goes to George Medeiros of Jake-O-Lanterns. George may not be showing up every week on the score sheet, especially with goals, but what he brings every shift of every week is hustle, relentless fore-checking and back-checking. George’s consistent effort is what drives his team during their turnaround season. It was George’s heads up assist that set up the game’s first goal.

This week's Dunkin Donuts winner goes to Nick Doherty of Jake-O-Lanterns. Nick had an impressive game, as he factored into all the goals that his team scored, with 2-goals and 2-assists. Nick’s breakaway speed was on full display as he was off to the races on his two goals. His 4-point production put him back into contention in the leading scorer’s race. Nick, that third goal that Matty stole from you, was the law of karma circling back to you as they gave you credit for Matty’s first goal back on November 21.
FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 2-27-21 |
This week's Five Guys winner goes to Sean Roach of Shockwave. His 1-goal and 1-assist in the first five minutes led the offense, and his other assist late in the game capped off a standout effort. Pic has been giving it all the last three weeks trying to set up the Former Great One for that historic career goal; instead he decided to focus on his own stats for one game.
FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 2-13-21 |
This week's Five Guys winner goes to Alex Leone of Olive Pits. Usually, Alex goes unnoticed playing defense behind the Portuguese dynamic duo of Dave and Elder. 2-goals, with an all-around solid performance against the league's top team.

Dave's performance was up there in highlights for this season.

For one game, Elder was THE Portguese Power of the Over-30 league!
FIVE GUYS PLAYER OF THE WEEK 1-9-21 |
This week's Five Guys winner goes to Mike Luise of Olive Pits. Overshadowed by his defense grabbing all the spotlight, Mike flew under the radar in his game, scoring a goal (the game winner) and set up two others to lead the offense. Ironically, after breaking his stick, Mike borrowed one from an opposing player to not just turn that stick into magic, but use it like a dagger to stick it into the hearts of the opposition.

His stay-at-home style of play made sure that the opposing players were limited to a one and done scoring opportunity. Instead of hearing "where are the new boys," you could hear "who's that old guy on defense looking like a youngster?"

And a rookie shall lead them!

His squaring up to the shots along with his fluid easy movement side to side were on full display.
