Dunkin Donuts Player of the Week |
| Week #15
Gino Tammaro
The Dunkin Donuts Player of the Week award winner is Gino Tammaro of Last Call.
With first place on the line and a first round playoff bye, things were not looking good for Last Call as they were missing two of their top scorers and best defenseman.
Down by two goals twice in this game, Gino took over this game single-handedly in the third period, scoring 4 unanswered goals to go along with his earlier goal in the second period, to lead his team’s comeback effort and clinch first place overall and the number 1 playoff seed.
Gino, just missed by one point tying for the overall lead in the leading scorer’s race, yet, became the only player to score 20-goals during the regular season, and led all scorers with 5 game winning goals.

| Week #14
Jamie Kehoe
The Dunkin Donuts Player of the Week award winner is Jamie Kehoe of Top Secret.
For most of this season, due to a lack of a full roster present at the games, Jamie has had to run the team, play some major minutes on defense and still try to play his game.
All season long, Jamie has played consistent defense, while scoring some big goals for his team.
Such was the case in his game as Jamie scored 2-goals in the second period making a big impact in this game on the offense, each time turning a one goal deficit into a tie game.

Nick Doherty
The Dunkin Donuts Player of the Week award winner is Nick Doherty of Loose Cannons.
Nick continues to have an impact not only in his game’s but also in his team’s place in the standings.
Nick scored 2-goals, including the game winner late in the game, as his team moved back into sole possession of first place overall. For Nick it was his 4th game winning goal this season, leading the league.
He continues to stay red hot, scoring 6-points in his last two games, including an eye opening 5-goals during that time.
Looks like Nick is finally figuring out how to use his speed not for breakaway scoring chances, but, how to get open in the offensive zone to put away his scoring chances.

| Week #12
Mark Stickney
The Dunkin Donuts Player of the Week award winner is Mark Stickney of Top Secret.
Looking more like a younger player instead a player in his early 60’s, Mark played his best game of the season.
Mark’s veteran individual effort produced a hat trick and had a major impact in his team knocking off the first-place team.
Mark scored goals both in the dirty areas in front of the net, as well as from long distance, as his short-handed goal near the benches on the right wing completely fooled the goalie.
His effort in this game showed those youngsters that some veteran players still have what it takes to make a difference in a game.

Matty Iannello
The Dunkin Donuts Player of the Week award winner is Matty Iannello of ReUnited.
They say that the Great One’s know how to seize the moment to make a difference.
For Matty I it was just another case of Matty being Matty as he set up his team’s first goal, set up the tying goal in the third period, then quickly in overtime scored the game winning goal.
It was the ninth time this season that Matty had a multi-point game and not surprisingly finds himself near the top of the leading scorer’s race.

With his team in a close game and trailing by a goal, and their five-game winning streak in jeopardy, leave it up to Jason to step up and save the day.
After pulling the goalie, Jason made a rush up the right side and, on the run, unleashed a laser that beat the goalie to tie the game.
For Jason, it was his second goal of the game, and second straight game with 2-goals scored. His scoring streak now has Jason tied atop the leading scorers list by defensemen.

Joe Shannon
The Dunkin Donuts Player of the Week award winner is Joe Shannon of Top Secret.
In case anyone hasn’t noticed, Joe Shannon is back and looking more and more like the Joe Shannon of the past.
Filling in for a player out on IR, Joe is making a strong case to keep playing every week. Joe scored 2-goals and set up another goal, as both his goals were typical slap shot goals that were perfectly placed.
What stands out is not so much Joe’s scoring ability and shot, but rather his rink awareness and ability to control the game on defense. Welcome back Joe.
