Over 30 Hockey League

Mike has a statement game and gives the impression that he has finally arrived in the Over-30 league as a difference maker, scoring 5-goals while adding 1-assist, factoring in on six of his team's seven goals.  Best player of the game!

The winner of the Dick’s Sporting Goods weekly award is Don Maccini of the Chickenhawks.

Donnie has a breakout game on offense as the raggedy man scores a big powerplay goal that breaks this game open, while adding an assist.  Maybe this will inspire him to show up early for his games going forward.

The winner of the weekly AARP award is Pedro Fontes of the Leafpeepers.

Pedro brings his A-game, scoring 2-goals while adding 1-assist and generating 11 shots on net.  Pedro was a standout the entire game, covering a lot of space on the rink.

The winner of the Nelson Sousa memorial Goalie of the Week award is Anthony Petrillo of the Brew’ins.

Anthony is impressive in net, giving his team a chance in a close game, as he stops 27 out of 29 shots faced, while standing out for his team.

The winner of the Mylec Defenseman of the Week award is Rob Greene of the Wing-Ah’s.

Rob emerges as the hero for his team on defense, scoring 2-goals, his second is the game's key goal and backbreaker that breaks open a tie game.  In addition to his scoring, Rob played a lot of minutes and was outstanding on defense.

The Dunkin Player of the Week award winner is Nick Doherty of the Brew’ins.

Nick had a big impact game on opening day, scoring a hat trick to break open a close one-goal game, scoring two goals in the third period, seventeen seconds apart.

The winner of the Dick’s Sporting Goods weekly award is Tony Mastrocola of the Wing-Ah’s.

Tony stepped up in his game, giving his team a boost on offense with some secondary scoring.  His goal in the second period turned a close game into a rout, while adding an assist.

The winner of the weekly AARP award is Rob Sheridan of the Lone Rangers.

Rob got himself and his team off to a great start, as he factored into every goal his team scored with 2-goals and 1-assist, while playing smart defense in his own zone, as his team held on to a close win.

The winner of the Nelson Sousa memorial Goalie of the Week award is Scott Rosato of the Lone Rangers.

With his team locked into very close game which wasn’t decided until twenty seconds left with an open net goal, Scott was very sharp and looking in mid-season form, stopping thirty out of thirty-one shots faced.

The winner of the Mylec Defenseman of the Week award is Dave Costa of the Brew’ins.

Looking very much like the quarterback of his team’s defense, Dave wasted little time to also be a factor in his team’s offense.  He set up two of his team’s first three goals of this game, then made a heads up play halfway through the third period, to set up the key goal as his team pulled away for the win.
